The incident did not delay the match.Emery remarked afterwards, “No change for us but we know there were some problems here with the club’s supporters and the club, but from us there is respect, respect to them, to the club, to the supporters and to the team. We prepared for the match with this respect also for this competition. Right-back Winterburn is one of the club’s most storied players, having made over 400 appearances in the red and white, winning three league titles and two FA Cups. But he almost joined the club’s cross-town rivals in the late 1980’s.”I don’t really talk about it a lot, but two weeks before that [signing for Arsenal] I had gone to Chelsea for talks,” Winterburn told the Football Ramble Daily podcast. “They wanted to sign me but that all fell apart.”Asked why his move to Chelsea fell through, Winterburn responded: “I have no idea. I tend to find with me, that with life, if things don’t go well, the best way to deal with it is to block it out.”Maybe I asked for too much money! A few days after that they signed Tony Dorigo, so they were obviously eyeing up us both, and maybe he was the better option at the time.”

Carolina fans have to hope so.
CFB MapA couple of users on Reddit’s CFB page, /u/cinciforthewin and /u/bakonydraco, have created the 2016 college football fan map. The map attempts to figure out the most-popular college football team in every county of the United States. They got what they deemed “usable” responses from 3,462 people for 158 teams. They got responses from people in 787 counties – about a quarter of of the U.S. counties – and through an algorithm were able to figure out the other counties. Here’s the map. @RedditCFBYou can see a bigger image here. The most-interesting areas:Florida @RedditCFBTexas @RedditCFBThe Northeast @RedditCFBYou can see Reddit’s full breakdown here.
